11/21/2008 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Alfred Aboya finished with 22 points and eight rebounds, as fourth-ranked UCLA rebounded to top Southern Illinois, 77-60, and win third place at the 2K Sports Classic Benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.
The Bruins (3-1) suffered a 55-52 loss at the hands of Michigan on Thursday in the semifinals, but pulled away for the win Friday at Madison Square Garden. Darren Collison made all three of his three-point attempts and had 17 points, while Josh Shipp contributed 11 points.
Kevin Dillard led the Salukis (2-2) with 14 points, and Tony Boyle chipped in 10. Bryan Mullins added seven points and eight assists in the loss for SIU, which lost to Duke in the semifinal round.
UCLA held a lead of several possessions through the beginning stages of the first half, but saw the Salukis rally to make it close. Wesley Clemmons drained a three and Boyle added a layup to bring SIU within 31-28 with about four minutes remaining.
With about 1 1/2 minutes left until the break, Dillard deposited a three to get the Salukis within 35-33, and that score lasted until halftime.
The game remained close well into the second half, and SIU drew even at 48 on a pair of Ryan Hare free throws midway through. But UCLA responded with an 18-2 run, which included back-to-back threes from Collison.
Aboya had seven points in the burst, ending it with a dunk that gave the Bruins a 66-50 advantage, and UCLA held the margin for the rest of the game.

MySportsbook.com refunds all bets on Oakland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay from NFL week one.
(September 14) – Week one of NFL action saw three teams go scoreless for the first time since 1977. Another four were unable to get a touchdown and almost half of the underdogs covered the spread. Those three teams saved bettors at MySportsbook.com from losing out completely, thanks to the company’s unique NFL Shutout Rule -- which ensures that if the team you backed goes scoreless, your wager is refunded.
Sportsbook refunded tens of thousands of dollars to customers who bet on Oakland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay, the three teams that stunk up the field so badly that their fans and backers never had a chance to get up from their couches and cheer. In the spirit of the low scoring start to the season, odds makers at the world’s largest online sportsbook and casino have set odds on how many total shutouts there will be this season.
MySportsbook.com has posted updated sports betting lines for week two of the season. Ben Roethlisberger’s health status is still questionable, so Willie Parker will try to lead Pittsburgh again as they travel to Jacksonville as a one point favorite. After beating up on his little brother last week, Peyton Manning will look to lead the Colts to victory against Houston. Indianapolis is a whopping 13.5 favorite in the match-up.
Seattle, last year’s highest scoring team, showed the power of their defense with their gritty 9-6 win in Motown over the ravenous Lions. They take their act back home to the comforts of Qwest Field where they will face the resurgent Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks are favored by a touchdown.
